I was extremely moved by all those who gave best wishes and support here on Linked in earlier this week when I was struggling to prepare for two events.
Your love and support gave me strength and thank you so much.🙏🏻❤️
The first was at an Occupational Therapy learning event with occupational therapists from across South West London.
It was a milestone as this was the first time I openly shared my challenges with mental ill health from a young age, to a profession that saved my life several times through meaningful support and interventions.
This time I got a chance to give back and share what I have learned helping people overcome the most extreme adversity associated with mental ill health and how we can collaborate to help their clients out of the mental health system, into society with meaningful work as part of the recovery pathway.
The second event was in Oslo in Norway, this was a landmark for me because of my vision to share my learning internationally.
It was wonderful to spend time with vocational rehabilitations specialists from across Norway. I learned a lot about their culture and amazing work.
I got to spend the day sharing how my NHS teams survived the pandemic in relation to employer engagement for people overcoming mental ill health challenges and sharing lessons I learned over the last two decades.
Thank you all so much for being there for me, take very good care and I wish you a beautiful weekend❤️🙏🏻
